Dr. Patricia Machado was born in Miami, Florida from a Brazilian family, lived in São Paulo until 2008, and has moved back to Texas ever since. She has been passionate about Women’s Health for her entire career, with intention to provide thoughtful care to patients and empower women in their most vulnerable times. She attended Baylor University in Waco where she obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology with a minor in Latin American Studies and Biochemistry. She then attended University of Texas Long School of Medicine in San Antonio (UTHSCSA) where she obtained her medical degree. She was then accepted to the University of Texas at Austin - Dell Med where she completed her residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology. Upon completion of residency, she was awarded the Department of Women’s Health Humanism Award and Excellence in Medical Student Teaching Award. Her passion throughout residency involved patient advocacy, health equity, and working with diverse patient populations.

Dr. Machado speaks fluent Portuguese, Spanish, and English.  She offers a wide variety of care for patients including management of pregnancy, preventative care, contraception, family planning, pelvic pain, uterine fibroids, menopause, ovarian cysts, and also offers minimally invasive surgical procedures including hysteroscopy, colposcopy, myomectomy, cystectomy, and hysterectomy.

She is drawn to Houston for the diverse music and eclectic food scene, and to be near family. Currently she enjoys playing tennis and has picked up new hobbies like running, bouldering, and padel/pickle ball. She loves to read, travel, and explore the local farmer’s markets. Always accepting food recommendations to add on for restaurant week.
