Erica Jenkin is a Nurse Practitioner who specializes in Women's Health at Northwest Women's Center. She began her career working as a nurse in a postpartum unit at a Naval Hospital in North Carolina. Since that time, she has logged over 15 years of experience in various areas of patient care (Women's Services, Labor and Delivery, Operating Room, Recovery Room, Medical-Surgical Unit, Aesthetics, Nurse Practitioner), in which she has worked primarily in Women's Services for 10 years.
In addition to her extensive clinical experience Erica also has an outstanding academic background, she received her Baccalaureate of Science in Nursing graduating with honors from the University of Texas at Arlington.
Erica completed a Master of Science and Nursing- Family Nurse Practitioner Program at the University of Texas at Arlington and was invited to become a member of Delta Theta Chapter of the Honor Society of Nursing, Sigma Thea Tau International. Erica is an active member of several highly recognized professional organizations including; American Association of Nurse Practitioners, American Society for Colposcopy, Cervical Pathology and, The North Harris Montgomery Advance Practice Nurse Society. Since earning her degree she maintains a National certification with American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and is Licensed by the State of Texas.
Among Erica's many strengths her passion for women's health in combination with her clinical experience and education provide a strong academic approach for enhancing the patient's experience and individualizing their care. She believes is building a strong long lasting connection with patients that instills trust and promotes a partnered healthcare relationship.
